  16. Yes  it's me Doc.M 'ere,  I am a little pooped having walk all the way  to 
  17. this  issue of STEN,  if you'd read all of the last issue then  you  would 
  18. know I missed the train (honest it was early again, you never can trust BR 
  19. (I'm sorry for that one Ian H)).

  21. Well as promised some time ago,  on the planet Zogg in the Galaxy of  Niph 
  22. or is that Nymph ?

  24. Here is the review of a Demo called 'NTM' by ZUUL.

  30. The  opening screen for this demo is in the shape of the figure of an  ape 
  31. not unlike that of the one in 'TOKI',  you watch it jump up and down on  a 
  32. piece of landscape to enter in to the demo.
  33.  
  34. In the main demo you take the shape of a type of shrimp space  craft,  and 
  35. while  you fly along the landscape to the demo squares,  you must fend  of 
  36. all types of aliens.

  38. When  you  reach a demo square then you must press the spacebar  to  enter 
  39. into the demo.
  40.  
  41. The music that tortures you in the main screen,  is that old that it makes 
  42. Dave Mooney look like a young thing!  (Only kidding Dave,  nothing's  that 
  43. old (Ha Ha Ha)).

  45. Oh! I almost forgot to tell you that this demo comes on two disks.

  47. Disk 1:

  49. Demo # 1: T.G.E.
  50. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  51.           This is a scroll line greets screen (sorry a megagreet screen) 
  52.           but I have yet to find out what is mega about it!

  54.           You also get a digi sound track to listen to while you read the 
  55.           greets, but the really sad thing is that most of the digi 
  56.           samples are old news, so in my mind I would give this screen a 
  57.           miss.

  59. Demo # 2: ZUUL.
  60. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  61.           Oh, how original a scrolling base landscape (which is made of 
  62.           moving squares), with a 'Shadow Of The Beast'(TM name)
  63.           background, with a little train running along in front of it.

  65.           The bottom of the screen has one of those not so new see through 
  66.           fonts that has a landscape inside of it.
  67.  
  68.           The music is some of that out used old tunes, (From me to ZUUL, 
  69.           why not TRY and write some new music for your demos eh! Because 
  70.           if this is what you are going to turn out then do us all a 
  71.           favour and forget it Eh!).

  73. Demo # 3: Next.
  74. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  75.           Wow, a big NEXT logo (how original).
  76.           3 scrolltext message lines (with a few foul words in it. "Oh, 
  77.           how great it must be to be to be an adult and be able to swear, 
  78.           I have to say one thing to this crew, and that is... Grow up!).

  80. Demo # 4: Future Minds?
  81. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  82.           Starts with a "Please wait I'm thinking" message and a 
  83.           scrolling "Please press the return key." message, so without 
  84.           wasting any more time let's press the Return key and see what 
  85.           happens.

  87.           Oh my God! it's another multiplane landscape kind of depth 
  88.           screen, and with some really naff music.  The main scroller is 
  89.           of no interest what so ever! if the screens on this Mega-demo 
  90.           don't get any better then I will stop reviewing it, because it 
  91.           is doing nothing for me what so ever!

  93. Demo # 5: N.T.M.
  94. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯                    
  95.           If you like a screen full of message lines with the same 
  96.           message in them and a grey circle background, and a big multi-
  97.           colour scroller then this is the one for you.

  99.           Oh! by the way, if you press the 'F1' or 'F2' keys then you get 
  100.           not one but two crap tunes to listen to.

  102. Demo # 6: VEGETABLES (Is that an understatement or what)?
  103. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  104.           This is a screen with raster bars in a vertical position, and 
  105.           some rather old music once again, the message tells you to press 
  106.           the function keys when you enter the 'Plasma' screen, so let's 
  107.           go on and see what happens.

  109.           Oh a message telling us we are watching the 'Vegetable 
  110.           Watermelon' screen, some nice FX when you press the 'F' keys.
  111.           If you watch this screen in a dark room and listen to the boring 
  112.           music that goes with it, then the chances are you WILL become a 
  113.           Vegetable!

  115. Demo # 7: FINGERBOBS:
  116. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
  117.           Well here is a turn up (or should that be turnip?) for the 
  118.           books, here is a screen from the great 'Fingerbobs'.

  120.           At last we will get something worth looking at (I hope), we get 
  121.           a great looking Logo, which goes to waste as the music on this 
  122.           screen is just like all the rest, nothing but crap, not so hot 
  123.           lads.

  125.           Here is a private message to Oberje so please don't read this 
  126.           unless you are he "What the hell happened to my interview sheet 
  127.           then Oberje, what's wrong? To scared to let everyone know what 
  128.           you get up to eh!"... From me, The Doc.

  131. the local looney bin for the weekend,  if you want to know what is on  the 
  132. rest of this demo then stick two disks into a jiffy bag and send them with
  133. a S.A.E. to me and I will send you a copy.
